A Rich Heritage

Herman Walldorf & Company, Inc. has a record of more than 80 + years of service to the Chattanooga and North Georgia community.

The late Herman Walldorf founded the firm in 1926 and remained active until his death in 1992. His two sons, Rudy and Charlie, are career specialists in the real estate business, both joining the company immediately after college. Rudy has 44 years in real estate and Charlie 40. Like their father before them, the Walldorf brothers have served as president of the Chattanooga Association of Realtors and have been awarded premier professional designations in commercial and residential real estate. Third generation Walldorfs who have been a part of the family firm are Sara Walldorf McNabb, now married and living in Roswell, Georgia, and Nathan Walldorf who is actively involved in real estate sales today.

Herman Walldorf and Company has a rich history as the oldest family in Chattanooga real estate. Herman Walldorf began his career with the real estate department of American National Bank which later became SunTrust Bank. He was active in residential new comer relocation, commercial and industrial phases of real estate just as the firm remains today. Areas of emphasis for Walldorf include Lookout Mountain, Signal Mountain, Riverview, Missionary Ridge, North Chattanooga, Hixson, East Brainerd, Ooltewah, North Georgia and even Monteagle (Sewanee) where the University of the South is located. Tennessee and N. Georgia properties include estates, land, farms, mountain retreats, acreage and all sized homes as well as Tennessee River North Chattanooga and view condominiums that may be in downtown Chattanooga, on Chickamauga Lake, on Signal Mountain or Lookout Mountain.

In a thriving, vibrant city like Chattanooga, it is well to use those real estate professional agents and brokers who know the Chattanooga real estate market the best, who are enthusiastic about their city, and those agents and brokers who are well connected amongst Chattanooga lawyers, Chattanooga accountants and Chattanooga businesses in general. Chattanooga real estate is an exceptional investment where the downtown and surroundings are growing and redeveloping so. There are few cities that can boast the land for industrial real estate development that Chattanooga does. Commercial real estate opportunities also abound across the city. New, fine restaurants and service businesses are popping up everywhere as leisure time expands. Chattanooga is known for its recreation, too.
